Medina Down Under: An Australia Day Wine Dinner
Café Medina takes a trip down under by hosting an exclusive Australia Day wine dinner that celebrates select wines that hail from some of Australia’s most famous wine-producing regions on Friday, January 26 (doors 6:30 pm; dinner at 7pm).

Join Café Medina for a four-course feast that showcases a variety of wines selected by Café Medina Manager and Sommelier Jenna Briscoe along with well-known Vancouver wine personality Jason Yamasaki, sommelier for Joey Restaurants’ Group and 2015 Vancouver International Wine Festival Sommelier of the Year, in partnership with Wines of Australia. Wines will be paired with Café Medina Chef Adam Perrier’s signature brand of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine served up in a quaint, bistro-styled restaurant replete with plenty of old-world charm.

Tickets for the event on Friday, January 26 are $79 (plus gratuity, taxes and ticketing fees). Includes beverage pairings.
Boasting high ceilings, up-cycled lighting fixtures, antique mirrors and traditional deco panel moulding, Café Medina’s expansive dining room marries the romance of 1920s Paris and the utilitarian sensibilities of a working person’s café, offering a truly unique and instantly memorable setting for celebrations, gatherings, intimate wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners for up to 60 guests seated or 100 guests reception-style. Our room is also designed for presentations and corporate gatherings and is equipped with a full drop-down screen and multimedia capabilities.
Whether it’s a cocktail-and-canapé mingler or a multi-course dinner service, Chef Adam Perrier has designed an array of seasonal menu options featuring our signature rustic, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. All of our canapé selections and appetizer platters, buffets and plated dinner menus can also be paired with a variety of custom cocktail creations, wine or beer.
Our room is available to be booked for private daytime events, photoshoots and filming. Please note, daytime events can only be accommodated for buy-out scenarios, and must be arranged at least one week prior to the event.
